Somewhere In The Middle...

Ouch...

Somewhere In The Middle
by Dishwalla

I was out the other day
and I saw you in your big black car
and I was waving as you were passing
cause I know who you are
you had this look that of an angel
it was such a bad disguise
did you think for a second I would not realize

tripping hard falling down onto the ground
cause I can't stand up
and I can't fall down
cause I'm somewhere in the middle of this

I was out the other night
and I saw you so we had a fight
it was late and I was lonely
and its such a long way home
so I asked you if you'd join me
for a single last call drink
so you turned and bought us 2
and you didn't even blink
you had this look that of an angel
it was such a bad disguise
when you drink it makes you angry
when I drink I want you more and more and more

tripping hard falling down onto the ground
cause I can't stand up
and I can't fall down
cause I'm somewhere in the middle of this

well I find it hard
I always tried to find the sane life
coz I don't like the way things are
and I keep falling to my knees
somewhere in the middle of this

tripping hard falling down onto the ground
cause I can't stand up
and I can't fall down
cause I'm somewhere in the middle of this

somewhere in the middle…

TalabatLea Episode...

June 20, 2006...

Venue : Circle Garden Grill

Da Suspects : Mervin, Carlo F, Yours Truly (Carlo D was not able to follow)

Special Barbeque Massacre and Kilawing Talaba Galore!

This is Carlo F's first time to come to CCG. Some noteable changes: There's now a tent/roof over the venue, and a stage has been put up for acoustic performers. But some things did not change. Like the TalabatLea (my take on the kilawing talaba served by Lea =P) did not disappoint.

Lea in a not-so-photogenic take. Babawi kami! :D

Lea has been kind to us and has tolerated us for quite some time since I started going to this place as a stopover before going home.

Hard Drive Close To Hanging...

June 14, 2006...

*This is my 100th post! (whooopee...)*

Some people can probably relate to this: ever been a situation where all the projects you're handling simultaneously call for your undivided attention? So it happened to me yesterday and today as all five projects that I'm working on started calling in succession. It's a bit confusing at times, where more than once I have to pause to close my eyes and recall what's the current status of the project in question before I go talk to the guy involved in said project.

Kinda felt like downloading all updated information to my hard drive before I can execute a program or file... +P

It's kinda taxing on the brain actually. No respite from it all. If I'm not working on one project, another will take its place.

Just a rant. I'll just quickly take my 4:00 lunch and then I'm back on the grind, good as new. =P

2006 Fantasy GT at Bonifacio Heights...

June 11, 2006...

Bonifacio Heights Clubhouse

Its Fantasy GT 2006! Guys who joined in the fun were Sunny, Carlos, Patrick, Chris, Mark, Raf, Ross, Joel, and myself. Ronald and Freddie did the unenviable job of moderating. Special mentions who dropped by were Lito (who stayed almost the whole day), the Cua Bros, Larry, and Sabaw. Hmmm... did I miss anyone?

This year's GT is slightly different from the previous GT's I've played. I've posted something about it in another blog just check the link below for more:

A Get-Together With Family And Friends...

June 10, 2006...

Italianni's Greenbelt

Peeps in Attendance : Barry and Leslie, Mom and Dad, Leah, Adrian and Nabs, Gary and Karen, and myself.

The Early Birds...

L-R : Nabs and Adrian, Dad and Mom, Gorgeous Sister,
Barry and Sister Pie, Yours Truly, and Gary and Karen

It's a joint celebration of Dad's and Barry's birthday. We had a heavy breakfast that pushed well on to lunch. Talk about a hearty celebration. Oxtail with risotto, potato frittatas, contintental breakfast, corned beef, waffles with sausages, lots of salads and pasta all around.

And that's the Small Salad... +P

We, the younger ones took turns playing Barry's PSP (Thanks for the correction Sister Pie :D). Played Loco Roco, a demo game that was senselessly cute and addicting. Trust the Japanese to come up with a senseless game like this and succeed in hooking people to become players.

Gorgeous Sister Trying to tilt the Loco Rocos to the desired...

The rest of the gang wanted to watch a movie afterwards. It was my cue to get back to work, which was just a short walk from where we were. Ah, the convenience... so ironic. =P

Library Build-Up 3rd Installment...

Got me the Bob Ong books at a reasonably cheap price that I just couldn't pass up. :D

stainless longganisa bob ong

Saw Florian over at the bookstore where I got these books. She was a former officemate who left my previous employ a few months earlier than I did. I was surprised when she introduced me to her daughters, her eldest already in college and much taller than her!

Update on my reading: I already finished The Princess Bride and started the Otori Trilogy next. The first book was interesting and I'm sure to get to the second book soon enough. Not much in terms of a book review there, but I would recommend it as a interesting read if anybody's interested.

To be continued...

Got Thirsty...

June 8, 2006...

Molo's

Met up with Garrick, Pol, Jubay and Beefcake. Sisig and tokwa't baboy galore! Instead of my usual kilawing tanigue I went for some black prawns in aligue. =P Wanted to get a quick drink and get an update on the boys before going home. It's been an all-work affair for me this past week so the break did me some good.

The boyz mostly talked about the latest in airsoft stuff. Also consideration in playing in the coming 40k GT was discussed although briefly.

Went home early after that.

Got this from Kim's Karmic Backstab and Bonbon's Perpetual Paranoia:

1.Put your music player on shuffle.

Library Build-Up 2nd Installment...

June 5, 2006...

Added a trilogy to my library. To three books intrigued me enough to buy the set.

Tale Of The Otori by Lian Hearn
Book 1 - Across the Nightingale Floor
Book 2 - Grass for his Pillow
Book 3 - Brilliance of the Moon

That brings my unread book count to 5. There's still that Zorro book and another R.A. Salvatorre novel which I hope is still on the shelf by next payday. Almost finished with abridged Princess Bride. Already I'm thinking of what book to read next. ;)

Surreal Weekend...

June 3, 2006...

Atmosphere is a bit surreal. Must be due to the fast approaching first day of classes. You can actually feel it in the traffic as people go to their repsective destinations, probably making last minute preparations for the start of the new school year. Everybody's affected somehow. Whether you're a student, parent, or even you're everyday joe, the coming school year will have its impact on you.

Here at the office, I'm a bit distracted at work. Recently, I just spent my first 100 days at the office. Feeling like the presidency, I made a personal assessment of what I've done so far in my first 100 days in office. To date, I'm currently working on five (5) projects, two of which have already commenced in construction, with the other three set to break ground anytime this year. At least two more projects are likely to be awarded to us and most likely I might play a part in that as well. That's a lot of work ahead of me for the rest of the year. That's a radical improvement compared to when I started out as a photocopier/answering machine 11 years back. So far so good. =P

Right now I'm content in letting my fellow engineers doing the legwork. I think I've done enough in drilling them on what to do and cover everything until Monday. Will resume the breathing down their necks mode by then. ;)
