I decided to accept an out-of-the-blue invite from Ronald for a bucket of beer, sisig and tokwa't baboy before going home. I was equally glad to see the place still up and running. Saw Paul, one of the co-owners of the place, getting ready for an early start to the Texas Hold 'Em hostilities...

Nothing much to talk about, just a convenient excuse to get together and have a beer from what has been a stressful week. Was able to get Emcee to catch up after an extended meeting (so I heard). Except for the poker boys, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We had a few laughs though a bit subdued. The background music was ok, not that loud party music kind. Slightly retro but "relateable" for lack of a better term. Thinking of trying to find the opportunity to play again.

Too bad Garrick, Freddie, Raf (=P) among others that I've tried calling on short notice were not able to follow. Oh well, maybe next time when I call it shouldn't be last minute. Duh. ;)
